    Today's project.

Today, finished the shed. Epoxy coated the floor, built the bar, finished the back wall with reclaimed barn wood and steel, hung the tv, and some signs.

May finally get to break this in.

There is a grease port on the bottom with a place to hang a metal bucket from to catch. The lean of it is less now, I wound up getting larger wheels for it that leveled it.

May finally get to break this in.

Had it since I built it back in February...a 120 gallon offset make from an upcycled air compressor tank. Firebox is 1/4" steel and feeds the heat straight up, not horizontally. Did that as I added a 1/4" steel damper plate beteen the firebox and cook chamber. Wanted to try something different...

    Today's project.

Christening the new patio with a fire, Davidoff cigar, Buffalo Trace, and the dog.

    Today's project.

Today's project...dug out, added paver base, compacted, leveled with sand, and installed pavers. Just finished back-filling, adding polymeric sand, and wetting it down. It's not perfect, but cost me about $500 and a day worth of sweating and swearing. And some beer for my volunteer helpers...

    What are you watching ?

We only do streaming, so mostly just YouTube stuff. Latest obsessions have been The Why Files, The Fat Electrician, and a bunch of stuff about 3I-ATLAS....yeah, I'm a space and history nerd.

It's almost as if you have something to gain here... 😆

    Guess the cut.

Correct. Winner Winner Steak Dinner! Now....for dessert. Success. Apple-maple-cinnamon rolls on the smoker.

    Wrong, good sir. 😀

    Guess the cut.

Tonight's dinner. Cheap but tender and full of flavor. Three steaks of this approximate size were a total of $18.55. This should be an easy one for anyone who knows their way around a steak.

    Any Freemasons Here?

Several friends are. I'm not. Maybe some day, really don't have the time to dedicate to anything else with 2 kids, full time job, and 2 businesses. Been to a few of their "open events" as a guest, always had a great time.

Didn't plan on making brisket today, but I did.

Not my best but pretty darn good. I typically dry-brine overnight, no time for that on this one.

Didn't plan on making brisket today, but I did.

Woke up this morning and realized I have PTO that needs to be used or I lose it, so had an unplanned day off today. Ran to the local meat market and grabbed a brisket, and here we are...15 pounts of smokey, beefy, goodness. Smoked on the Gravity 980 at 270° with a combination of post oak and apple.

For Post 100, I Give You Garlic Butter Steak Bites.

Not smoked, but cooked outside still on a cast iron griddle. But first, let's make a cocktail....the Wisconsin-style Old Fashioned. And now onto dinner. Top sirloin sliced into bite sized chunks, seasoned with my Fortune Favors the Bold Steak Rub, cooked in a roasted garlic/amish butter...

    New hangout spot.

The smoker's not going on the deck, way too big and heavy (damn thing is over 900 lbs) so building a paver patio down below the deck for it.

    New hangout spot.

Next week going to be moving my 120 gallon offset from the garage to the backyard, need a space to chill while it does its magic, so.... Just finished the new deck, got some new furniture, a propane fire table, and a portable tv stand. The outdoor lounge be done. Them rocks? Bluetooth surround...

Any interest in a fantasy football league?

I typically use ESPN, and Head-to-Head. I would be open to a 10 team league if there's enough interest. Figured I would start with 8 because its easier to fill.
