    I know, it seems like an odd pairing, I thought the same, but it really worked well. Only thing I would do differently is save part of the flat, chill it in the fridge, and put it on the slicer and get thinner, more consistent slices....these were a bit thick for a gyro.

    This year's batch of my Apple Pie Moonshine is done, jarred, and ready to be enjoyed. Already gifted nearly two dozen jars to friends and good customers. Tweaked my recipe a bit this year and damn...this is DANGEROUS. So smooth, yet still clocks in at 91 proof.

    Beef prices have been insane lately, so been eating a lot more pork. Made these t-bone chops last night on the WeberQ, seasoned with Fortune Favors the Bold, grilled to 140 amd rested to 145 with a knob of butter, french cut green beans, tater crowns, and a Coke.
