The app has some connectivity issues. It works but spotty. Didn't really test the temp in different areas. To be determined on the temp controller. I think its accurate but the grill temp probe may be in a bad spot. My thermoworks grill temp probe was reading about 25 degrees lower so to run at...
I have the regular OKJ bronco and love it. The intake tube is a minor issue for me. I still have the old design with the gap and it holds temp just fine (if the pro is shipping like this then someone needs to be fired at OKJ). OKJ should've and should put some type of gasket where the 2 barrel...
Well I tried the manual lighting method and it was a success. No bellowing thick white smoke. Did 2 hand full of pellets and 3 cap full of rubbing alcohol. Let it burn for 3 minutes turned it on to smoke and it was good to go.
Well I guess a pellet grill isn't for me at this moment. I wanted to try one out and the pit boss was such a good deal (220$). I believe it would be okay doing a manual start up based off of the video link below but then once it's lit there's another problem it's LOUD. My kettle makes no noise...
I was kinda thinking the same thing last night when I was reading the manual. I've had really smokey start ups with my Weber kettle using a chimney and briquettes but switching to lump has cut down the smoke tremendously.
I'll be doing the first smoke tomorrow so I'll have first hand...
I have been using my Weber since December of last year with no issues from landlord. Several people have various different grills/smoker on their balcony but I'm pretty sure I'm the most frequent user.
Now my issues is the start up of the pellet grill (pit boss). It creates a crap ton of smoke...
I have been using a Weber kettle 26 with a few accessories (homemade slow n sear, vortex, and a iq110) I pretty much have it dialed in without the iq110 but it was cheap on fb marketplace. Even with all of that I couldn't help myself and had to try out a pellet grill so picked up a purchased but...
I really like the look of the slide draft door. I was going to make my own from scratch but it gets way to windy where I'm at so I'm going with the hunsaker style 1 big hole on the bottom
Since the drum lid will be on the bottom I could use the big bung hole as intake also. For some reason I'm leaning toward the sliding intake from picture 3 but it's probably not the best option because of wind.
