I'm just taking up smoking! My next build is going to be a patio smoker for myself.
I enjoy hunting and fishing, and we have a very good butchers in our village so I have a good supply of stuff to smoke!
Regards
Michael
Lights are all done, final finishing bits all sorted.
I think it's all done!
Tomorrow I'll take some nice photo's outside and get them up as soon as I can.
Thanks for following and all the advice.
Michael
Events! I'm not the chef, only the builder. I'm going to make a patio smoker next for myself.
I like cooking but smoking is not popular in the uk. A BBQ is18"!
The chef is American, hence his need to smoke lots of meat, and he's convinced me it tastes great! (Previous 4UDS build).
Thanks for the...
I've done a bit more,
Chassis painted, grease drain installed, stainless shelf pop riveted on, silicon door seal done hence the cling film!
Lights tomorrow night.
I've painted the high temp paint. It needed to be baked to make it go hard, so we fired it up!
It seemed to work really well, considering it was really windy and I only had wet wood!
The temperatures were the same both ends. I'm really pleased how it worked.
Next job is paint the chassis.
The shelf is made from 1" box with a stainless top.
The fire grate is in two parts, so it will fit through the door to clean it out.
I think its time to clean up and paint!
Then we can see some smoke coming out of the chimney.......
