    warming the pit up

Just make sure you burn off any sealer that may be on any pieces you bring home. I checked with the installers and watched them apply sealer after they cut out the pieces. I heated them up just to be sure before I cooked on them.

    warming the pit up

They heat up and cook more evenly then metal does. I can seer the heck out of a lamb chop this way. So much better than...

    warming the pit up

It has become tradition (or expected) this past year for me to cook breakfast while my pit is warming up! Now it's ready to throw on that nice slab of beef!

    Red lined barrels

I just purchased several of these red lined barrels and was wondering if the paint liner on the inside could be left in. I assumed that if it is safe to store fruit juice and nothing leech into it that it may be safe to burn. Finding this thread has helped me decide what to do. To hell with all...

    Splits NOT Burning???

Quote: This sounds right to me. Use less charcoal and apply more oxigen. If you don't want to modify your bbq pit then leave the door open and adjust as needed. How big is your firebox? I am not familiar with the brand of bbq pit you are using. If it is anything like the ones they sell at...

Breakfast all wrapped up for dinner

I got a phone call from the Missus yesterday while I was at work and she informed me she wanted a breakfast fattie for dinner. She had already started prepping everything, put it all together herself. She used scrambled eggs, country gravy, ham, cheese, hickory smoked sausage, and hashbrowns...

    Taco Fattie

Sounds great Flyboy, I thought about doing it much like described but I want to try to cook and smoke all of it at once. I do have a question about crust/dough... think I might start a new thread though, this taco thread has turned into the philly thread lol.
