Yeah, I still have a Triplett analog meter. Many times I prefer it to a digital.

Semantics are a real pain when it comes to things like this.
Not to nit-pick, but if an ohm meter display reads 0 it's a dead short.
If it reads "OL" or "1---" then it's an open circuit.

I have zero experience with stick burners.
But I do know what I achieved with my pellet burners slowing down the airflow somewhat.
One thing about a pellet burner that's different from other smokers is the fire is fan forced.
The Z Grill blew a whole lot more air than the Traeger Pro 22.

The old Z Grill I first bought was basically a jet as received.
Once I choked down the exhaust, things did taste better.

I've got 4 pepper cats, 4 albino cory cats and 8 neon tetras.
It's a 29 gal tall.
I have hard well water with lots of carbonates in it.
I had a helluva time keeping fish until I got this distillation unit.
Now I haven't had a single death in 2 years.
Here's a couple of basic items:
1 - Clean the firepot completely.
2 - Remove any foil you may have put under the grates.
3 - Set the grill for 180 degrees.
4 - Open the stack all the way.
5 - After the grill is lit and temperature stable, start closing the stack.

Also got a Vevor water distillation unit for my aquarium water.
It works great too.
The whole chicken cooked using this lump was declared delicious by my wife. :)
I have bought a total of 17 bags of this lump.
