Blue, I had 2 Treagers. The Lil Tex, which gave me pretty good service and cooked a whole lot of good food and then a Junior which didn't work when it came out of the box. Got it repaired and it worked 2 and 1/2 times, died in the middle of cooking a rack of Ribs. I sold both of them and now...
Bear, Thanks again. I'm looking foreard to try this. I still have 2/3 of the belly in the freezer to process.
Todd, sorry the pic's don't load for you. Dave is on a Road Trip now though so from that point I'm on my own.
Meat, Thanks for the tip. I'll probably give that way a try next time...
Craig,
So far I've Boiled the skins and removed the fat, then dryed them and will try deep frying them probably tomorrow. If they come out I'll post about that process, if they don't I'also post about the failure.

Since everyone else seems to be Makin Bacon, I had to get on the Bandwagon. A while back I picked up a nice looking Pork Belly then cut it into rough 3rd's and froze it. Took a package out last week and got started. Now come the question, these pieces were the thin part of the belly and...
Thanks Dave, you and your Bride Travel Safe. I'm still looking for something I can take with me in the MH. Just haven't found anything that fits good YET. Did a Pork Chop on it last night for dinner, MMMMMMMMMMMM GOOOOOOOD.
Yep it is a lot of pellets, but I've been running it pretty heavy. Getting ready to go fire it up again to cook a bit of dinner. BBQers Delight lists 10 lb bags on their website, but there was a 40 lb bag that came with the grill so I've emailed them for more information.
Ok, I've had this unit for 2 weeks now. So far I've only run into 2 minor problems. 1st one is that the Heat Shield is just a tad wider than can be covered with 18" Aluminium Foil, so have to use 2 pieces folded together, not really a big deal. 2nd one is a bit worse, the residue in the Fire...
Good job Dave, I'll be by to pick up a 4-5 pound sample from you Tuesday. And I finally got off my duff and started 2 small ( 1 pound each) pieces of Belly yesterday, even took a couple of pictures for if it comes out.
Just checked mine, it's a 1200 watt with dual heat settings. High setting claims 1,000 degrees. Works pretty good so I'm thinking your 1500 watt should work like a dream.
SORRY Actually THANKS for giving it a try and posting the Q-vue. While it may be a bit slower starting, it works and was what I had on hand at the time. Now I just keep forgeting to pickup a propane bottle, so end up using the heat gun again and again. I need to make another run of Smoked...
Hey Dave,
Thanks for the pictures of your pretty PINK heat gun. Mine is just a plain ole Ace Hardware special. It does the trick though and is quick enough for now.
Joe
Bear,
You gonna do that or should I see if I can get someone to take pictures for me while I do it? HMMMMM I am out of Smoked Mozzarella and Havarti.
Joe
