Also if you are thinking about one of these, try to get it at Sams Club. They have an unlimited number of days to return it if you are not satisfied. I think you have to have the receipt.- lou f

cleaning the grates
I toss mine on the gas barbeque grill for a few minutes, then brush with a grill brush. Takes about 5 minutes per grate.- lou f

MES 40 Temps for smoking Butt
For those of you with the MES 40, what temp do you set it to smoke your Butts? Also, does water in the water pan affect the length of the smoke? How about if you are smoking 2, 3 or 4 Butts at a time? Should the temperature be set higher? I would like to be able to put my Butts on about 6 AM...- lou f
