    Correction, Traeger are 100% alder on the West Coast and 100% oak on the East Coast. Here is a link for some info on Traegers Patent for their pellets...

    Traeger pellets are 100% alder wood with flavored oils added to them to get the variations. Our ACE carries a variety of pellets and I have found luck with Pacific Pellets and Bear Mountain Pellets.     So I was told it couldn't be done.....yea, I do like a challange. So I grabbed some scallops from Costco the other day and here is what I came up with. Rinsed real well and seasoned with a modified Dalmation Rub...added some hot smoked paprika. Next, I threw these bad boys on the Traeger...
