after a few rounds of mediocre smoking and not being able to keep the AMPS lit consistently i decided to do the mailbox mod. It is amazing! & just as good as everyone said. Did chicken quarters today that turned out great! Had some spare wood lying around so i built a little stand too, 2nd best...- usaftrevor87

MES Expert and Opinions Needed!
I just got an email back from Masterbuilt & you are correct. The 1814 is exactly the same as the 0910 except for the built in probe. I have actually decided to go with the MES digital 30. Its stainless, with a window, Gen 1 i found used on craigslist for pretty cheap. Where do you put the AMNPS...- usaftrevor87

Okay so here is my question... And then my dilemma. 1. How come I can not find any information on the Masterbuilt model # 20071814? It looks exactly like the 20070910, but the 1814 isn't listed on their website or on the list here on SMF. My dilemma is this.. If the 2 smokers were the price...- usaftrevor87

One more mailbox MOD....Works GREAT!!
Pardon my ignorance (1st post), but how does the intake & exhaust help with an electric smoker? Is it just for circulation purposes to keep heat even? I am actually bout to buy my first smoker (probably this model) & was researching it and found this post. Thanks for the awesome info!- usaftrevor87
