    Tapatalk

Mine quit working about 10 days ago, and just started working again today. It seems to do this randomly over the last 6 months or so.

So, why did they ship these casings in "juice"

Every one from Butcher Packer I've ever ordered are packed in salt. That sure looks/sounds like a shipping issue.

    Safety Question Regarding Electric Smokers

I guess I should be thankful my Condo HOA "allows" electric and propane, only wood/pellet and charcoal are not permitted. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD

Propane powered Plywood Smoker Build (Pics)

I've been all over the place on how I want to build mine. I can get an SS commercial refrigerator cheap, but it's huge! I'm now thinking cement board, lined with stainless inside, and finished in that thin stone veneer on the outside. It'll be heavy as heck, but I'll weld up an angle iron base...

    New Sausage Stuffer w/ QView

I have to find something to do until I can work on my smoker. I won't pickup the commercial stainless refrigerator I'm gutting until this weekend, and won't have the money and parts for a few weeks.

    New Sausage Stuffer w/ QView

I think so. Based on condition and the cleanup I mentioned, I would guess it's worth around $250-$300 on eBay. I see the new ones are in the $500 range. I happened to see the ad on CL about 15 minutes after he posted it and went and picked it up immediately. I'm pretty sure if I had even...

    New Sausage Stuffer w/ QView

Probably about 50 lbs of Vension snack sticks in 19mm collagen casings. I need to get my smoker built first, though. I should be picking up a stainless commercial refrigerator later this week or early next week. It'll take me a couple of weeks to get that ready to go, I think.

    Smoked sausage recipe and process

I use this snack stick seasoning, at about a rate of 80% Venison, 20% Pork and it turns out great. I add their encapsulated citric acid as well. It tastes great! http://www.askthemeatman.com/smoked_...ck%20Seasoning

    New Sausage Stuffer w/ QView

I found my new (to me) sausage stuffer on Craigslist for a mere $60.00. It's a Chop-Rite (formerly Enterprise) #35 8 qt. stuffer, in very good condition. No cracks or repairs needed, just a good refurb and seasoning. I'll give it a cast iron electrolysis clean up, repaint the non-food surfaces...

New Cajun Injector = New Masterbuilt ??

In the past, I know the Cajun Injector smokers were built by Masterbuilt. While browsing the web and eBay, I came upon a 5 rack digital smoker by Cajun Injector. It sure looks a lot like an "updated' Masterbuilt. Could this be the new updated Masterbuilt but re-badged for Cajun Injector...

Building Electric Smoker - Cabinet Question

There aren't any where I'm at, but there probably are several in Columbus, I'm sure. I was hoping to find a new gas/charcoal vertical smoker that has a large, good heavy duty, well sealing cabinet, but everything else could be crap and start from there for a minimum of work. Maybe up to about...

Building Electric Smoker - Cabinet Question

They look like they would be awesome, but the price blows it out of the water for me. Edit: New is pricey, but if I could find one on eBay that is close enough to pick up, it might work. They look well built, insulated, and should seal tight as they are designed for fire protection for paint...

Building Electric Smoker - Cabinet Question

Well, I had *almost* talked myself into buying a Bradley or Masterbuilt electric smoker, but because I wanted to do quite a bit of sausage and snack sticks, as well as jerky (start to finish) I was concerned about temp control and started looking at PID controllers. It didn't seem to make a...
