Truly gutted over this. RIP Eddie, you took the guitar to new heights and inspired a whole new generation of players to pick up the guitar. You will not be forgotten, and your music will live on forever. Thanks for the music and the inspiration.
Man am I stoked! So I was going to order the Franklin Masterclass lass month, but due to some other purchases I decided to put it off until end of this month. That turned out to be a GREAT decision. Today the CEO of my company announced that it is "Team member appreciation week" and as a gift...
I agree completely, Al. I like mine just a little more rare as well. I was shooting for 130-135 but it went over and hit 140 on the kettle. No worries... they seemed to go up about 15 degrees on the grill grates (which are also brand new) so next time I'll pull them of the pit at 115 and I...
I'm hoping, but I've never done it before so like with anything else, there will be some trial and error with time and temp to dial it in. I don't actually have a sous vide cooker (although that's another toy on the wish list), so I'll be doing it in the oven. For this, I'll stick the vac sealed...
Thanks, forktender. It sounds like your cattle roundups were awesome! Yeah man, the Santa Maria style grill is really the traditional way of cooking tri-tip, and a Santa Maria grill attachment is on my want list for the Weber kettle just for tri-tip. I love slow smoking and reverse searing it...
I did some experimenting with tri-tip today on the new offset. I like to smoke and then reverse sear my tri-tip, but the problem I've had with both my WSM and my pellet pooper is that tri-tip cooks so fast that I never really get enough smoke flavor for my taste. So today, I played around with...
Update... So I called VacMaster on Monday and they told me that the Pro 360 is the new machine which replaces both the 350 and 380, and there are no other new home machine's coming out, the 360 is it.
Webstaurant.com had the 360 in stock for $299 so I pulled the trigger. It arrived yesterday...
I'm not sure about the Harbor Freight manual log splitter, and I agree with those that said they'd avoid anything mechanical from them anyways. I bought a WEN 6.5 ton electric log splitter and just tried it this week for the first time. So far I split about a 1/4 cord on it. It works great and...
I'm picky... I'll say that straight away lol. I was already set on the Vacmaster unit, but was intreaged by the LEM until I saw the seal bar is only 14". I've read to many complaints about the Foodsaver bags to be comfortable buying an expensive machine that I will need to depend on Foodsaver...
I was looking at the LEM and it looks really good, but then I noticed the seal bar is only 14", while the vacuum sealer unlimited bags are 15" wide. That's going to be a problem.
I have friends and family that keep hitting me up for BBQ and one of the prime reasons I want a vac sealer is so I...
Thanks. After reading a couple more threads I guess the Vacmaster's are being redesigned and that's why they aren't available at the moment, but they were hoping the new versions would be out by end of July. Looks like they didn't hit that target but hopefully they are almost there so I guess...
As the thread titles says, I'm looking to purchase a vacuum sealer. I've been on the site long enough to know that everyone recommends the vacmaster's through Vacuum sealers unlimited who is a sponsor. I would love to go that route, but I've been watching their site for a while and while they...
It was an extremely tight squeeze. They put boards down and rolled it over them, one man on each end (the reason for the extra pull handle on the fire box), and put thin foam padding around the barrel to make sure it didn't get scratched.
Thanks! The yard is still very much a work in progress, and next up I'm going to have the area behind the smoker flattened out to the fence line with a retaining wall, and then extend the paver patio. I'm just happy to have some flat usable space now.
