Is Heart-Healthy Bacon an impossible oxymoron?

NY strips can't do, is it just me?
Not a strip fan. They make a good chicken fried steak if you slice them thin and pound them out. Gonna buy a cuber for the kitchenaid, will be the first time I bought strips since the last time I used some for CFS. Both denver and sirloin cap can be cut to look like strip, and taste a lot...- Hijack73

Lazy Sunday Smoking Dino/Plate Ribs
205 IMO. Probing a single beef rib would probably be a bit hard for me, but I'd still hit it with a toothpick starting @193 - I highly doubt I'd have broken 200. That bone was probably way over the boiling point of water if the meat was at 205, and a lot of meat is touching that bone. Lord... -
How Do You Afford This Addiction?
Part time gig. Pay is low, and I don't get many hours but it all adds up and when there is a good sale I stock up. If I walk into a store and there's 80 bucks worth of clearance bellies in the case, my part time gig allows me to scoop them all up without me feeling like I've gone over budget...- Hijack73

I go in specifically for clams (chowder time) and walk out with 100-150 in odds and ends. Like @jcam222 mentioned above, better jalapenos than any Latino mart.- Hijack73

Has anyone else lost their tolerance for heat?
I ate too much spicy stuff when I was young. I still use cayenne and red pepper flake, but sparingly (comparatively speaking - the kids think I cook 'hot' sometimes) because I no longer care for it. I admit I splurge about once a month and grind up between a lb and 2lbs of ribeye just for burgers. I bought something like 40lbs of ribeye roasts at Christmas, a few from Publix and our Kroger affiliate and a few from Food Lion. I want to say the Publix and Harris Teeter ones ran me 7.99/lb...- Hijack73

Bang for your buck steaks.....
I tend to buy chucks with real nice Denver sections and cut those out for steaks and recently - burnt ends. It's my second favorite steak behind a ribeye. They run me 6.99lb. They make really killer burnt ends.- Hijack73

We've had 2.54-2.60 gas here for about a month, jumped about 15 cents today but I still can't fuss too bad. I stopped and got $40 worth last night (I was bone dry) and wished I'd filled up but c'est la vie.- Hijack73

Got sick, now can't stand vinegar!
That's how I was able to quit smoking so easily. I didn't have any plans or (truth be told) desire to quit. Something in my mouth or brain changed and all of a sudden I couldn't stand the taste of a cigarette any longer. I tried 6 or 8 different brands. Just couldn't do it. I don't know if...- Hijack73
