I could not find anything on Craigslist except for a guy who dismantled his 40yr old dairy barn.... Had to pass on that. I did locate a 4ft section at a plumbing shop.- alaska

Don't know why my photos rotated... I only have one more side to insulate and skin then I will install the baffle inside my FB. With our latest snowfall I have been tied up plowing folks driveways. Couple more driveways and I will have broke even on this build. I got a question about the 4in ID...- alaska

My first smoker build
You would be hard pressed to find a home outside of the city that doesn't have one of those tanks sitting outside... Personally and it's only my opinion but I wouldn't use it because that fuel tends to be saturated into the metal like the pores on your skin... I may be wrong in my assumption...- alaska

RF Smoker Planning (and the Build)
I like the look of that paint. Was it a rattle can, brush or did you spray? As far as uploading photos I have been having problems with my photos loading up sideways so maybe I will load them directly from my phone. The counderweight that you have was there anything inside.- alaska

With this being my first build I'm trying to eliminate any possibility of problems just to be on the safe side. I want to have the wood sitting in a basket with would sit on rails inside. Take a look at the bottom of the FB, I have a 2.5in lip so my ashes will have to sit and I didn't want them...- alaska

Huge mistake on my build.... I was reading one of the others guys build and Dave mentioned "if your lower air vents are too low you will stir up the ashes which will then work its way to your meat" now thats not an exact statement but it was the part I latched onto. Plasma cutter to the rescue...- alaska

I like the look of that build.... Did you find that the FB end was somewhat balanced or not? I'm thinking I may have to put mine on a trailer not only because the FB is HEAVY but I'm going to have in excess of 3ft of snow in the yard....- alaska
