    Did u replace the regulator as well?, It sounds like the volume of fuel over whelemed the burner. The idea is to buy just the needle valve, Get barb fittings to fit your host cut the line and put the valve in,,,, Oh just had a thought did u realize u have to pay attentiion to what direction...

    I have a small MasterBuilt vertical that i put backed up to a wall 6in away and I put a layer of aluminum foil across the 3 sets of exposed legs,, Lets me turn the burner way down without it getting blown out.

    I can take some, But I picked a simple needle valve off ebay. Then it was just a matter of putting it in the line at the regulator.

    Here is a 7 1/4 lb flat, I did 2 at a time in 7 or so is as big a flat I think will fit. And then I have a pineapple glazed ham.

    No Smoke!!!

    I have a small Masterbuilt verticle gas unit, Make sure you put the smoke box directly over the burner, Depending on the ambient temp. the burner can be so low it doesn't get the box hot enough,, And are there holes in the top and bottom of the smoke box?
