    Yea it is a gas. See the knobs in the head? You think it would be an effiecient smoker if you made your heat source inside the block, covered it with steel, so you have the raidient heat thing going and than a separate woodbox for the smoke?

    Hummmm, why didnt I think of that!!! Wish I discovered this forum a few years back. I get by fine, for my purposes. Eventually I will try it again and like I said, Im gonna go with a beefy one. For my fish, fillets or whole trout, I freeze them in water.
