Wasn't able to taste the garlic last week, smell and taste were still hindered. Now I'm back to normal and had to dig in. As you can see, the garlic is sinking now. Smell when I open the lid is a slight honey and garlic smell, neither is over powering over the other. Garlic has taken on a darker...
I have seen garlic and olive oil done but it was more of a cooked process to infuse the oil with garlic. Never heard of fermenting with oil, but I'm still new to fermenting.
Sorry One Eyed, i did glance at it Saturday and noticed signs of fermentation still taking place but that's as far as I got. Been curled up on the couch until today with one of our new world viruses lol. This weekend, I will pop the lid and find out what we have.
As Thirdeye mentioned, ask for "drops" and mention its to BBQ. Agree with Inda, fab shop is best because they normally have new pipe that hasn't been used for chemical process. What area are you located? I work for a fabrication company and may be able to get a piece for you.
Fabrication shops typically do not use shorter pieces and may be willing to sell for a cheap price. Scrap yards are a good place to look as well. Just make sure it wasn't used in some sort of chemical process, some chemicals can impregnate into pipe walls.
Been looking at smaller smoker/grills lately myself, bullseye in particular. I'm a charcoal cooker at heart but sometimes I just want something simple for a steak. Not my thread but thanks for all the good tips lol
Good to know. I have been eyeballing their 100% hickory but never heard much on reviews. Looks like this will be my next bag since I can't get lumberjack without paying a fortune in shipping.
