Where do you build and maintain your fire during the cook?
Do you keep it in the middle of the fire box?
Or do you move it forward, towards the cooking chamber, once it's burned down to char?
Is there any issues burning against the cooking chamber side of the firebox?

Thanks for the complements folks! I used a combo of charcoal briquettes and hickory logs that I split down to manageable size. The entire cook was bone side sauce down. I sprayed them a couple of times with some Cajun Blast basting sauce and that was it.
Finished with a nice tomato based...
Simple one...onions, bell peppers and grated cheese mix. I was dyin' to do the bacon weave and just love the presentation.
Next one I'll go for the diamond weave like Cowgirl did. That thing was a work of food art!
Figured I'd give dinos a try since I've read so much goods stuff here.
Seasoned them up with some off the shelf brisket rub and steak rub.
Smoked them you for about 6 hours at 225 to 250.
Nice color and flavor...

I'll give that a shot...I've had the Wal-Mart version of this smoker since 2005 and due to neglect, the burner barrel rusted off. I'm ready to upgrade to the full version.

Thanks Stephan. I checked our local Bass Pro today...no luck. I guess I'll have to make an order. I'm not too keen on that idea just in case it arrives damaged. But at this point I have little choice.
