Why are my temps so low! Char-griller Pro w/ Sidebox
I may be wrong but I dont think that there should be a vent between firebox and smoker. There should be a cutout where the vent is. It is kind of football shaped. The vent is only if the grill is used without the firebox. I saw one assembled without removing the cutout but my instructions say...- solna905

Hello New to smoking and trying a boston butt on my chargrill with side firebox. What type of wood should I use? Would hickory or mesquite be too strong? I have some apple as well. How often should the wood be added? Also should it be soaked first? Also what type would be best for smoking...
