Power Out for last 4 days...
Tried a boost, I could watch TV on my phone...barely. But the signal here is very poor and the wind storm pretty much killed it. Got the SL standard kit and gonna put it on a roaming plan. May switch to full time at some point, like if the outages get worse/more frequent, Comcast raises rates...- sandyut

Not a huge deal for shorter outages, but 4 days was rough. Cell towers took a hit in the wind storm as well. So crappy signal dropped to useless pretty fast. those are still not fixed. When to vac seal?
Like above, I usually salt and pepper, then rest in the refer uncovered overnight. Then vac right before SV. The dry brine makes them real good!- sandyut

Thanks to all for the good input and support! It means a lot. The Gennie was worth every penny and got hooked up at he last second! My wife thought it was a bit too expensive, till she took a hot shower with the lights on and we cooked a pizza in the toaster oven.- sandyut

Lotsa of folks have SL up here and like it. Its expensive tho. Its about $500 more per year...So we are still debating if its worth it. Given the long outages have not become regular...yet The plans are a deterrent for sure. If I can get the booster to work for free then we will try that...- sandyut
