My daughter is a vegetarian and I've made these a lot. IMO the impossible meat version is better than the beyond meat one. Impossible burgers look like they bleed because they made it with the iron containing heme from a soy plant. I've had them and while they aren't beef burgers, they can taste...- ron50

That's a possibility. My first choice would be to replace the entire firebox but I don't think that will be an option. The corroded gas collector boxes (one of which is shown in the pic) are replaceable parts. There is a welder near me that does mobile fabrication. If I don't get any help from...- ron50

Favorite widely available bourbon or whiskey
Red, Everyone has different tastes. There are lots of different flavors in bourbon and not everyone likes the heavy oak profile. I happen to like it. Woodford Double Oak is another good example. That said, I like the Old Forester 1920 better than the 1910. I'm a fan of higher proofed bourbons.- ron50

Looking for a new smoker
Appreciate all he information and suggestions. I think I am going to give the KJ a try. Most of what I will be doing will be for a small group so a pork but, a couple rack of ribs, some ABTs should be sufficient. I think the large size KJ will work for that.
