Good morning Mitroll2. When I built my FB, I used the number I came up with for the inside volume of the FB. Then the insulation was added to the outside and a metal skin over the top of that. If I understand your question correctly, yes that should be your inside volume. Hope this helps

I finished welding up the rest of the frame along with pads to bolt the wheels to. Here's a pic of it next to my old one. I wanted a size comparison of the two. Hopefully I won't run out of room on this one!

Thanks for the info. With that 1/2" FB mine will be closer to 1000 lbs! 99% of the time it will never leave the concrete just going inside the shed when done to keep it out of the weather. But there's always that 1 time...
Great looking smoker michigander2! Just wondering, how is it to move around? I was going to originally make mine a patio model like yours but it just keeps getting heavier and heavier! Debating whether to make it into a small trailer model so I can move it around with a 4-wheeler?
I'll 2nd Dave on that. By the looks of it the top of your door is at the very top of your tank. If you rotate the tank that could be dropped down also. You don't need the door to hinge that high. Just my opinion though.
