    Short/Fat 120 Gallon Build

Been hard finding time to work on this now that some warm weather has come. This is the time I should be USING it! I did whip up some flanges for the CC door. I wanted to follow the radius of the corners instead of squaring them off. Thought I might like the look better. I made 1 for the top...

    Short/Fat 120 Gallon Build

Actually after I wrote that I was thinking the same thing. Maybe try and cover all the racks? Great to hear someone is backing up what I was thinking! Thank you! Thank you AussiQ! HaHa! It just might. I have been watching yours too. Awesome build so far. Beautiful welds

    Short/Fat 120 Gallon Build

Thanks Dave. So basically up to the builder. I was hoping there was an inserted length most builders agreed on. After more reading, seems like some prefer this way others prefer that way. Good morning Dave. First off, thank you for the very nice compliment And thank you for all the help. I know I'm not alone on this one By this do you mean 1-3" sticks down into CC? Or 1-3" above the cooking grate? My plan was to have it just above the lowest grate. After reading this it got...

    Short/Fat 120 Gallon Build

Turned out pretty decent. I used the plasma and cut just inside the line. Then I used the grinder to tweak it from there for a good fit

    Short/Fat 120 Gallon Build

I have been trying to figure out how to lay out my cutout for the smokestack. I didn't want to build a plenum. I wanted to cut into the tank if possible. Just thought it will look better. This is what I came up with. First I had to have the stack setting in place so I clamped a bar of flat stock...
