Is your RF plate welded in yet? If not, how hard would it be to cut the tank off the FB, rotate it and weld back on? Maybe patch it in with the notch you already cut out? You can get by easily having your top cut lower than 12:00. Just a thought
Thanks Dave. The bars are 5/16". When I drilled the holes in the square tubing I only made the holes about .0005 oversize. Just enough so they slide in. Now when I welded the outside frame of it together they don't spin. My original plan was to weld all of them but I don't know if I will. I like...
Getting pretty close now. In the last couple days I've welded the RF plate in and got to work on the slides for the rack.
I used 1" x 1" angle for the rails. Here is how I welded them in so everything is level side to side and front to back. I clamped some flat stock on the bottom of the angle...
Hi Steve. When I cut my door I made the top cut then tacked on the hinges. Then last I made the side and bottom cuts. No need to try and hold door in place when welding on hinges. It worked out really slick. Hope this helps
I couldn't help but wonder how it flowed. I started a small fire just to see. I don't even have my door seal in and it didn't leak. Went out the stack like it's supposed to! Getting pretty excited now
It's been a little slow going lately but I did manage to work on the RF plate a little. Here's the lip on the end with the drain hole

I did my smokestack a little differently. I have (3) 6" ss pipes. A 26", a 31", and a 39" long.
I really want to polish one of these up and use one. I didn't want to weld the ss one right to the tank because I didn't think the transition from a painted tank to polished stack would be clean...
