    that's not going to work,you would have to soak it over a longer period of time to knock it down,and that's still not 100% effective,don't use it. Mark

    hey Delarosa,i have the chargriller also, I start with two chimney's of charcoal then add the wood and let the heavy smoke burn off at first, after that if you add wood do a little at a time and watch the smoke,i've opened the grill chamber to let smoke out at times,as far as adding charcoal...

    Dave, welcome to the forum,i also love my char griller as well. to get a steady temp of 225 on mine,i open the stack all the way ,and open the fire box vent about 1/3rd of the way,this has served me well for several year's,good luck with your's. Mark
