    Ran some chicken and ribs thru my homemade smoker last weekend, this time it's venison jerky. Hi Mtn seasonings mandarin teriyaki and some Hickory, 2lbs each. Will post results. Hickory chunks Auber set at 200F Jerky is hanging.

    They were great My 9yr old son and his friend tried some and hounded me for more. Skin could've been crispier, will finish at a higher heat next time.

    Hey Stan The toms were good, had a very distinct taste, not too smoky, but I think they were overdone. I think they would kick up a good chili recipe if anyone cares. But to answer the question, I liked them

    165F on da button Will let them cool before I attempt a bite. Ribs in now, smoke-a-thon almost over.

    Thanks Need to invest in a GOOD thermometer I have an old fork style that I will use this time That marinade is from my brothers wing recipe, easy and delicious.

    Started my smoker this morning with some veggies, now I'm on the chicken wagon 50/50 Franks redhot and Italian Cherry/hickory chunks 275F I'm thinking 2.5 hrs? Any thoughts would be helpful.

    Finally getting to use my recently built fridge smoker today and broke the ice with some bacon wrapped jalepeno poppers. They are great, threw on a few maters also. Next stop chicken quarters.
