haha, as an engineer, thats our favorite saying. But not in the shop. If we said that to the guys actually building the stuff, we might be met in the parking lot some night.
Bear,
another thing is grinding. We found that it holds together best with a couple runs threw the grinder. If we are doing large batches, we grind the meat (deer) and mix in pork or beef and seasoning pack, then run threw grinder again. The finer grind holds together a lot better plus the...
I am with you. I hunt anything I can as much as I can but I still find myself watching all the cooking channels more now then the hunting channels. There are still a couple shows I like to watch on the hunting stuff, but not many. I like Duck Commander, Jim Shockey and the Bone Collectors. ...
Bear, We quit using casings on sticks for that reason also. The mix we generally use will stiffen up after being in the fridge over night. So after it hardens up a bit, we are able to shoot it up to 1" diameter or more on the racks. It works great.
I was watching a huntin show last night and it must have been sponsored by Bradly Smokers because the host did a segment/commercial on smoking a pork roast. The funny thing was he took the roast and put it in a oven bag when he put it in the smoker. He did make one little cut in the bag "to...
scrap yards are the best place. LP dealers usually stock their old tanks until they get enough to take a load to the scrap yard. but scrap yards are my favorite place to look. You may end up leaving with a tank and the rest of the steel needed for the build.
Those are scary moments that most of us have had. This brings back memories that I had hoped I forgot because it still brings a chill. That initial second when you have to do a self examination is the scary part. I have had to do too many times. Luckily the lesson was learned without any...
Thats funny you did this. We went frog leg hunting the other night and the whole time I was wondering if they could be smoked. Those are a lot bigger then the ones we were getting.
I can't remember the name, I got it at Sam's and it wasn't cheap. It was the only package that still had the skin on it.
After pulling it out of the brine I did let it sit out for a couple hours to dry up. The only thing I can think of was (besides the actual salmon) is that I couldn't for...
Basically figure these tanks like a square box. just cut a little off the height because of the rounds.
I figured it as:
3' high (just a guesstimate)
2' 4" inches wide
5' 1" inches long
Which is 61,488 cubic inches. Rule of thumb is 1/3 of that size for the fire box which is 20,291...
One evening Terry went over to his boy, Tony's house to play cards with some friends. Terry sat directly across from Tony's wife. Terry dropped a card on the floor and bent down to pick it up. When he looked across the table he saw that Tony's wife had her legs open and no panties on. He sat up...
I think I am done with this thread now. I have everything moved over to a new thread and will be working that one from now on.
ADMIN - I suppose it would be best to delete this thread later on.
Well I figured all these needed to be easier to look at and edit on my side so I broke it all up into the three categories. Like before, please let me know if I am missing somebody's smoker in here.
