Adding a fire box to a Brinkman Smokin Pit

Thanks for the information. I thought that might be the way to go but was unsure.

Adding a fire box to a Brinkman Smokin Pit

Has anyone added a Char Griller fire box (I think Target and Lowe's carry them) to the side of a Brinkman Smokin Pit? I have a Brinkman that I bought many years ago and now I want to add a fire box and use the unit as a smoker. Is anyone aware of mod problems I am going to run into? Any...

    First stuffed fattie

The plan for the next set of fatties is on the cutting board. I am giving a few away for Christmas presents to some that have tasted them and just loved them. I am working on fillings but each time I visit this site I get so much input it makes it hard to settle down. By the way, my son in WA...

    First stuffed fattie

Well, the party is over and the guests are gone and so are the fatties. As I was setting them out and arranging them for "filling pictures" the guests started arriving and well the camera never came out. The good news is they were a great hit. The hot ones, mexican style, went over the best...

    Brinkman Pitmaster parts question

I have been looking on line to see if Brinkman has parts for sale but so far have not been able to find a fire box. I think I will start looking at the thrift stores and see if I can find something to make a mod for the smoker. It does a great job and I think adding a fire box would really be...

    Brinkman Pitmaster parts question

I have a Brinkman Smokin Pit Pitmaster that I bought many years ago. I have used it to grill and smoke but it does not have a fire box on the side like some of the other Brinkman's do. My question is, can one be added and if so where to I go to find one? Any help is appreciated. Being very...

    First stuffed fattie

I realized after I figured out how to post the photos that I had not included the inside filling. I only cut one open to "taste test" it so my guests would not be disgusted by a mistake. I will post some pictures as I cut them open for the party the end of this week. Smoking and posting...

Thanks for the link to put up some Qview. Here are the fatties. The large ones are stuffed and small ones are just sausage rolled in rubs. Hope this works.

    **Bread Mexican Fatties Experiment**w/q/view

Those look amazing. It looks like the pizza one made sort of a calzone type product. My wife really likes fresh breads so this one will have to be tried. Thanks for sharing the idea.

    First stuffed fattie

I made six and did take pictures but not real sure how to post them to this site. I will work on that. We just taste tested the one made with sage sausage stuffed with smoked chicken, mushrooms, onion, garlic, roast red peppers and feta cheese. Very nice!

    First stuffed fattie

As someone new to fatties I have only tried the basics. Open sausage, roll in rub and smoke. They were great but today I moved to the next level. My first stuffed fattie. This one is sage sausage, smoked chicken, fetta cheese, onion, garlic and mushrooms. We will be having these at a party...

How Did Your Thanksgiving Smoke /Dinner Turn Out?

This year I smoked the turkey, most moist bird I ever smoked. Finally got smart and cooked to temp and not time. With the smoked salmon, fatties, ham and ABT'S this was a great holiday. Our family is now going to have a fattie contest to design the best fattie to be voted on by all. Thanks...

    Thanksgiving Fatty?

b.lowry, I love all the responses you got but have to make one that is bit off task. You and I have the same spelling of the same last name. I wonder if we are related?

    Bradley temperature control

Thanks to both of you for those thoughts. Two hours ago I pulled our Turkey from the smoker and it is in great shape. I did two things differently. First I put a pan of very hot water into the bottom and second, I used a meat thermometer instead of cooking to a set time. The bird is...

    Bradley temperature control

I smoke on a Bradley smoker and have had it for about a year. I notice that when I pre-heat the unit it seems to take a long time to come back to the cooking temperature once I put the meat in. This is especially true when I smoke something like a turkey. The meat gets done but I never seem...
