    How much food

    Anyone have a good rule of thumb for how many sandwiches you get per pound of pork butt?  I have about a 7 pound butt I'm going to smoke Saturday morning and want to make sure I have enough food for my guests.  Plus, leftovers aren't exactly a bad thing, right?

    Tips for chicken breasts

    I know I might be in the minority here but I much prefer chicken breasts vs legs and thighs.  So I'm looking for tips to make sure the meat stays juicy.  I've grilled chicken before with propane and it's ok but to me seems a bit dry.  Trying to avoid that with my smoker.

    General Safety Around the Smoker

    Kids, keep the kids away.  Mine were running around yesterday and had to constantly be reminded to stay away.  Nothing will ruin a day quicker than a kid burning themselves on the smoker.

    Having to work at 3:30 AM today i got my smoking out of the way yesterday.  3 butts each between 4-5.5 pounds.  Rub was put on Saturday night, threw them on the smoker about 11 and by yesterday evening they were ready to go.  Shredded wonderfully and tasted pretty darn good.
