I see you are still having problems. I just came here to post about my last smoke. I ran in to a problem similar to yours. In the middle of it our propane tank kicked. I'm sorry you are having trouble with yours. I purchased one about 2 months ago, give or take. Mine seems to work ok. I see that you called them. Is there a way that they could maybe ship you the whole bottom assembly and give you a return label for the old one? If you get your problem solved...- jarrett
