new MES 40 leaks around bottom of the window

Oh l understand all that thermodynamics stuff and how the sand could help maintain the temperature but l'm in Florida and temperature isn't really much of an issue here except in the summer when it already hot enough to slow cook with out the smoker. LOL 128514

new MES 40 leaks around bottom of the window

I only use water in the smoker for stuff that will dry out and l don't add sand to the water tray either. MES don't get hot enough to heat the sand to be of any use

Smoke Vault Manual Say NEVER Smoke Dry - Why?

I know this is an old thread I am posting on, however, I have a MES digital smoker, I have smoked with water in the pan, without water in the pan, let the pan go dry and even put water in a foil pan right beneath the meat. Honestly, I cannot tell the difference between any of them. Happy...

Disappointed with amount of smoke; bought a master built electric 40" added updated part sent by mas

When l crank my MES up to about 260°F l get plenty of smoke but l also burn a ton of wood chips doing it that way. But, beware there is such a thing as too much smoke many that post on this site and my favorite TV chef say to keep the smoke at a light blue color nearly invisible to the naked...

    Hi There!

It's my opinion only, but my answers are yes, yes, AND yes BTW I'm still trying to master smoking with pellets in my MES. best results so far seems to be a mixture of chips and pellets, maybe a 3 to 1 ratio of pellets and chips but be careful too many pellets = a sizable fire 128293 and it...

Anyone use wood pellets in their MES?

I have used smoke pellers in my mes and love them. BUT! I have called masterbuilt and they say not to use them. By trail and error l learned to use only a scant palmful of the pellets if you use too much they will catch fire and you could have a blowout or worse. A nice side effect is the...

    Tips for MES Owners

Never mix ammonia and bleach that forms chlorine gas and will kill you in a heartbeat, , I fact Poison Control says never mix any cleaning liquids including dishwashing liquid just incase they contain an acidic compound(which forms the gas). As for Dawn dishwashing liquid specifically, they...

MES 40 - Troubleshoot cause of temp reading on display higher than actual temps

My MES keeps turning itself off. Will an outlet exposed to the outdoor elements for years cause problems such as temperature fluctuations up to and including turning off on its own with the MES? My major confusion is it's unpredictability it's good for at least 20minutes the it becomes a...

MES 40 - Troubleshoot cause of temp reading on display higher than actual temps

Smoke Vault Manual Say NEVER Smoke Dry - Why?

Never! Never pour your water pan down the drain might look like there's not much that might not be much fat but there could be a lot of gelatin (as I found out when I poured my down the drain) the gelatin did what gelatin does and it clogged the drain .9889️
