A nice way to secure your ball valve to the UDS for us non-welders

Awesome.  Would love to not have to spend more $ on more washers.  I have to swing by the Depot tomorrow and see what they are.  I think I have some lime-a-way under the ole kitchen zinc ;)

A nice way to secure your ball valve to the UDS for us non-welders

Had an issue where the pipe nipple used for the ball valve was a tad loose in the hole that was drilled for it and it would just get worse over time due to opening and closing the ball valve, so I ran to the Depot and snagged up a couple things and fixed it.  Now it is snug as can be and isnt...

First cook on the UDS. Was a quick one but it impressed the wife :)

Thanks man.  Ill go pick one up.  I cant use covers on them in the summer due to mosquitoes.  They love hanging out under the covers which is why they are off now.

Now thats funny! I thought I would do that but I think it may be the Genesis that goes.  I hardly ever use it since I got the Performer.  Then I will keep the spare blue rhino propane tank and hardline it to the Performer to do away with the mini propane bottles.

I know the feeling Craig.  I need to get rid of one of mine to make some room!  It definitely wont be the UDS though.

Thanks guys.  Didnt think smoking could be this easy.  Tried it on the kettles many times in the past and got fed up with the flame up and temp consistency issues.  No longer a problem with the ole drum.

Thanks to ECTO for letting me remain lazy and building me a UDS.  My wife at first thought I was nuts when I came home with a "garbage can", but with a some nice pointers on some good ole chicken from ECTO and also a side of Moinks, she was quickly a believer.  Next weekend is pork butt and...

Here are the shots of a Weber lid handle under the ceramic overlay.  I wonder/wish they sold these.  I need to call weber tomorrow to order something else, so I may inquire.

UDS and Weber Performer crossbreed...is it possible?

I have been trolling the boards for a while just soaking it all in, as I am working with ECTO1 (well paying him) to put me a UDS together (I know I am lazy).  I have a new black Performer with 2 new lids I am thinking whether it is possible to somehow integrate the UDS into the table by removing...
