Ok, here she is and she is UGLY!! I am not done with her yet but good enough for her modeling debut... The smoke was actually rolling out of her nostrils but the wind started to blow a little so you can't really see it in the pics. She fits perfectly over the handle and the air holes in the lid...
DaveNH, That's a great price! You won't regret it!! That little inverter is so nice! You can take it anywhere there is a 110v reseptical which is just about everywhere and it is small, you could almost get it in your glove box. The only thing I did was change the stinger/electrode clamp to a...
Hey bigsal, it looks like you beating adversity and doing a great job! I really gotta hand it to ya cutting all that steel with a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder with a cut off wheel! I have been there... You might want to try a
9" Heavy Duty angle grinder from Harbor Freight, it really cuts like a...
Take that one back to Sears and get your money back.. I know people hate Harbor Freight but I found this little DC Inverter ARC welder there that just kicks butt! Go to HF or order it off line! This little 80 amp inverter penetrates 1/4 inch metal with no problem and the duty cycle is 35% at...
Looks like you have quite the hook up there with the scrap yard and the combination of your so called idiot friend! I got alot of stupid friends but they don't benifit me in any way and usually cost me somthin in the long run lol...
You can weld SS to carbon steel, E309 sticks or ER309 wire is the way to go. You will have to use a gas mixture if you use a MIG. There are pros and cons to using it on your rig. One nice thing is that it doesn't rust and the firebox is likely rust because the paint is always getting burned off...
Smart build! I love the 2 cooking grates that slide out! I haven't seen any like that! Not to say that somebody has not done that but it is the first that I have seen, great idea! Great job!!!
I took another look at it today and I have to agree with "lcruzen" that the opening is small! There is room for at least 2 more racks inside also! I would have made the door opening start 1 ft. higher. Another thing is the size/diameter of the smoke stack, kinda small.. These are all fixable...
Bro that place looks like somthin off the movie Wrong Turn/Chainsaw Massacre or one of those hack'em up flicks! I think I saw the words "HeLp Me" written in blood in the window of one of those campers? Run Bassman Ruuuuuuunnnnnn.... LOL
I hear ya okie joe! Are you ok? You are lookin kinda skinny! Just J0kin, Glad you enjoyed it! I didn't know it was gonna come to this but I am glad it did!
Yeah, she needs her own TV show I am tellin ya! It would be great! I am not just sayin that cause she is a woman either! She just flat out walks all over all of us for sure! What a bunch of wanna bee's we are...She at the very least need her own dedicated forum on here. I could go on and on...
I did check out her blog but I musta missed that! Geez is there anything she hasn't done? I think I spent an hour lookin at stuff and readin and I didn't even scratch the surface...
I like those home built imperfect smokers! It does have tons of cooking space and tons of character! Looks like a one of a kind, probably worth $500 but I would try to get him to go down 50 or 100... The only thing I see that could be a problem is the size of the fire box, kinda small but if it...
