    The more I read the more confused I get. Referring to the amount of liquid used. 2 cups seems like a lot vs most recipes I see.

    Yes, I have the side hole. I've just been putting the maze on the left side on the bottom. It has worked well. I'm just wondering if the fan pulling air across it might ignite it.

    That's how I installed mine. I thought you used a maze for smoke. I've been using the smoke tube, haven't tried the chip pan since I bent the arms up like we talked about for the factory chip tray.
