    Theme BBQ Pit "The Bomb"

I'm not sure whats more awesome, The fact that you have a conex box in the back yard, the super cool pipe stands(that I would love to see more pics of BTW) or the way cool smoker you are building. Under further review of your post I am courious if thats a passport sitting on the cart, and...

    Help me buy a smoker

I agree, you really must consider all the options so that you get what you want. How much grate real estate do you wish to have? You said you wanted longer times while unattended, but do you know if you want a reverse flow or not? I would have to guess that a vertical is out, since you said...

    120 gallon Vertical SFB

Thats the way to do it. If the thieves have to work, chances are they will leave it alone. My old trailer is built with a removable tongue, it was a pretty cool deal taking it out to make room for folks to walk around.

    rust

I plan to try using coconut oil on mine. I did veg oil once but then I read that it can get rancid. I really liked the look after the oil was applied.

    Rear-Facing Reverse-Flow Barbecue Trailer

LOL, Hey the idea of cutting holes and using a short piece of pipe is a pretty slick idea. And it may turn out that if you do have a hot or cold spot that it could work in your favor, something cooking to fast or to slow just move it around and your good to go.

    Rear-Facing Reverse-Flow Barbecue Trailer

I don't think the grease will be a big problem. If you went with the plates the grease may actually help keep them in place during travel, that is unless you have a way to lock them down, which is the best route. Once they are set in perfect place you won't really be moving them. A tapered...

    Utility Trailer rebuild

Hey, I forgot to ask ya what thickness of the fenders is. They look great, did you have someone make the bends on the edge then cut and bend each end and reweld?

    How's everyone's ET-732 working/holding up?

Yet another test proved what an awesome wireless unit this is. I have the transmitter in the trailer,(with metal sides all closed up like when it travels) and the receiver in the far corner of the basement. The old mav only worked part of the time even with the ant mods. I had one little...

    Never leave a smoker behind!

And who's knows, it could make for one heck of a wrestling match at a comp some day when the original owner might see it. LOL and ya man, the carma thing can get pretty nasty.

An old smoker gets moved over to a big boy trailer.

So after that excitement we took it easy the rest of the way. I left home at 5 45 thinking I would get a good spot, Wrong. They said by 6 00 there was only 3 spaces left, and the other two came in right after I did. The cool part was that it was freaking COLD yesterday morning, 29 degrees...

An old smoker gets moved over to a big boy trailer.

Well my plan worked as planned,,,,almost. The loading and unloading was perfect, no work at all. Just a few dishes to clean up at home and 2 coolers to clean out. BUT the trip to the comp sat morning was less then fun. Here's the deal. The contest was good practice and it was a fun time...

    Utility Trailer rebuild

That looks like a very good rehab trailer. I see that you added what looks to be a 2" pipe rail just above the deck rail. Was this to have a place to tie off to or was it intended to strengthen the deck? I only ask this since on this type of trailer the side rails make a huge difference in...

    Never leave a smoker behind!

Well this is one of those times where I would want to load it up and roll out. BUT I think I would have to try and get in touch with the team, theres teams out there that work there tail off for what little they have and then theres others that have money to burn. Its a 50 50 shot on what...

custom built train bbq - what should i do with it?

I agree, fix her up and let her shine. Here is a pic of the smoke rig that kansas city terminal rail road and dean machinery built for cook offs. They kinda took the best of both worlds, caterpillar and the Rail Road.
