    Rear-Facing Reverse-Flow Barbecue Trailer

LOL, now thats funny, couldn't help but to laugh having a visual of the slap on the forehead.  I was thinking that the intake vents were open pretty far.  Ya may try cutting um both back just a little.  I really think that when ya get her dialed in it will be a very smooth running rig. Nice...

If I did something wrong, I apoligize

I have been cooking my chicken in muffin pans and using boneless skinless thighs. They are turning out OMG good. The last little comp I attended, I believe the chicken made it into the top half of the standings. It didn't place but it was up there.  I do soak the thighs in Itialian dressing...

Getting Fire hot enough & maintaining temp

I hate to ask again, but is there a chance we can see the inside of the firebox.  I think I am seeing a propane regulator. It makes me wonder if you have extra air entering the firebox from the propane entrance. Or maybe there is something with the grate height. One other thing to look at is...

Thats cool.  I think I forgot to mention, awesome trailer for the smoker. Is it going to be long enough for the smoker or will you have to extend the tongue?

Ron, may I suggest that if you like chicken, to try a beer can chicken. They rank right up there with the spatchcock chickens. Watch it tho, they have been known to shoot juice all the way across the table when ya cut into them. Awesome looking stuff you got there.

Getting Fire hot enough & maintaining temp

Since I haven't said it, Welcome to the site, theres a wealth of info here. Could you please post a picture of your smoker. I am having a tough time getting a visual of whats going on here.  As far as the newspaper, are you putting it inside the smoker or just using it under the chimney to...

    Rear-Facing Reverse-Flow Barbecue Trailer

Ok, those are some awesome looking pics.  Fantastic. I can't offer much on the a maze n smoker as I have never used one. But, on both of my reverse flows I have switched over from a fire on a grate to a basket full of coals. Light one side and it burns the minion method. BTW small chunks...

    Too much charcoal smoke.

In the OP's defense, I know that when I used to search for stuff I would enter to much info and yield far to many results to even think about reading.  Not trying to start a flame session here just trying to point out to other posters that may be searching, try it with less words and see what...

    Reverse Flow First Time Builder.

Very nice. Sounds like you have a pretty awesome family. Specially your uncle. For the stack I have a question. Are you wanting to neck it down right at the top of the stack? And why.  Sorry I haven't posted in a while but I was working out of town.

    Welded Metal Frame

I assume that you are using light gauge 1 1/2" tubing. I am guessing that you aren't talking over 500 lbs probably. So I would say to just weld it up the way that pleases the eye best.  A 45 degree joint is nice looking and strong as well since the leg is either right below the joint or right...
