Casings, casings, which I wonder
Did you give them a water bath in cool water when you pulled them out of smoker? I always water bath mine, it washes off the grease and help shrink back the casings. I always use collagen casings too. I also always poke a hole in the casings to drain the grease out when they are still in the... -

I have a cookshack/hi mountain smokette 008 and I love it, just wish it was a little bigger. But I am building a freezer smoker for the big stuff. I think the normal price for the 40 inch MES at Sams is 299.99. It might have been operator error too. Or you get it and call Masterbuilt and they should fix up with the parts to fix it right.....And more then not they will do it for free....
