When you drive buy the only thing you read is bubba bad bbq. Yes, it is bad. I went once and was impressed with the tri tip sandwich. I may have made it there right after it came out of the big smoker. I went again after work to show...
Those look great. Question about scallops though. do they get all rubbery if they are smoked from over cooking? I know if you over cook them on the stove they become unedible.

ddave, thank you. That actually helps me a lot. Should there be an average space between cooking grates(i know you dont want to SANDWICH the food). i plan to add a domed lid of some sort, or maybe cut another drum just to add a little more height. My goal is to get two levels for ribs, just...

If i read correctly i will want 24" of distance from the top of the charcoal tray to the first(or only) cooking grate right?
Im sure in time i will...
I always take my own bags(i even get a 5cent credit per bag). I used to live in a apt(2nd story) and the regular grocery bags never cut it. I bought some of the reusable clotch bags and wow, i was able to carry 100lbs of food per trip. We go shopping about once a month to cut down on the...
These will only measure surface temperatures. They are also very accurate. We use them a lot on our road race cars to monitor tire temps, brake temps, etc quickly.
