Hey Dave, Yesterday after I got back from seeing the pain specialist for my back and a neurosurgeon I started to cut the end of the tank where the 9" X 18" connector will connect the stove and the smoker, the tank is an 1/8" thick. You would think that a tank that size would be at least 3/16"...- maple man
