Super Mini-WSM build with different pot for more height.

I use the tempered glass turntable from a broken microwave for a diffuser.  It's 12" in diameter (15/16" gap around the outside). Your build is complex and expensive, but VERY nice!

Super Mini-WSM build with different pot for more height.

Edit:  I posted this erroneously.  Thought I was commenting on someone's plans to make a manifold for his pistmasterIQ.  Sorry! My IQ setup is really simple; just a single 1" hose barb w/ conduit nuts inside and out.  The barb gets kinda hot, but I only push the IQ hose on about 1/2" and...

    IMUSA lid

There seem to be major differences in pot size, even from the same manufacturer.  The bottom of my pot fit the SJ kettle well enough, but didn't fit into its lid. The SJ lid also didn't fit very well on top of my pot; it probably would have worked but sat ON the rim rather than OVER it.  I ran a...

    IMUSA lid

I believe there are 2 32-quart pots sold by IMUSA, one made in China (Wal-Mart, the one I used) and one made in Columbia (Target, Amazon?).  Where did you get yours, and where was it made?  Did the bottom of the pot fit into the lid?

Post A Picture of Your COMPLETED Mini-WSM Here ! (Mini Weber Smokey Mountain, MWSM)

I love this thing!  Although I have many other smokers:   Big Poppa UDS/EDS   Weber OTG w/ Smokenator and Cajun Bandit SS rotisserie ring   MES electric (many modifications)   Camp Chef pellet grill   Great Outdoors propane I use the Mini more than all the others combined.

    IMUSA lid

I meant I haven't had any ash problems when using the pitmasterIQ (but haven't tried a really long smoke with it yet).  My longest smoke w/o it was 6 hours (St Louis ribs 3-2-1). I didn't have an ash baffle and after about 4 hrs temp started to drop.  I ran a pointy object thru the vents from...

I spent hours reading about minis before building one (on this forum and others) but the source I relied on most was BDSkelly's "Building a Mini Weber Smokey Mountain in Texas (Mini WSM)".  Rather than bore everyone with the (many) ways I copied his, I'll just show the things I did differently...
