I use Splenda brown sugar in Dutch's wicked bean recipe.
I just do like the package says and use half as much as regular brown sugar. I don't think anyone knows the difference.

Told my daughter I was gonna smoke a fatty Sunday, she looked at me a bit strange....
Anyway, ribs, fatty, beans, whatever else sounds good... If I'm gonna fire it up, I might as well fill it up.
I don't know about smoking (yet) with them, but I've always used dead branches that fell out of the trees to get some smoky goodness in whatever I had on the grill.
I just love getting around the "no burn" ordnance in our town... :)
