    Hey Canuck 1, try some water in the water pan and see what happens.  If you don't want to use water, washed sand or lava rock will help too.  Probably to get it down to the 225* range you may need to install a needle valve.  Search needle valve mods in the search bar up top.   Hope this helps...

    Hey bsue welcome to the site. I believe Smoke Hollow are made by Outdoor Leisure Products.  Their website seems to be under reno, but it's at www.olp-inc.com.  If you search smoke hollow manuals, that might work too.  Hope this helps, good luck and good smokin'.

    What kind of vent pipe are you using?
