Well, it's like she said, 'you only turn 40 once'. And it's not like it doesn't get used. Just about every weekend, plus some during the week either the grill or the smoker is fired up and chugging along. Plus, any of these should last the rest of my life from everything I've read about them...
Thanks guys. I'm really leaning towards the BGE, but I do like the Primo because it is oval and seems like it could hold more meat. However, I don't always do big cooks, usually a butt or two or several racks of ribs. I guess I could fire both the gosm and the bge up 'if I had too' :)

Ok, the fiance' is wanting to get me a new smoker for my 40th b-day next month. We've talked about getting two or three different brands in the past but never got to the details. Here's the list in no particular order.
1) BGE XL 1100.00
2) Primo equivalent (oval style) 899.00 without...
To your question, I believe that it will just produce more smoke. You might get a little longer smoke out of it too, but more wood on the hot surface just means more wood smoking.
I'm no General, but I'll add one more thing. On the fish, be careful that the marinade doesn't have citrus acids in it. It will 'cook' the fish and make it very rubbery.

I know for the Stars, during the National Anthem, in the two places in the lyrics where the word Stars are, the entire fan base yells STARS! at the top of their lungs. I personally don't have a problem with this, but it seems to offend some as an insult to the Anthem.
Smoked a birdnest in my offset once. Loaded up the firebox and started it up to bring it to temp. Opened the lid to put the meat on and 'oh darn'!!!! Never done that again since. Always open the whole smoker to make sure the critters aren't in there.
