For our Christmas party potluck, I did a brisket and 50 abt's. I talked the boss into letting me work from home the day before and smoked all day. I sliced up the brisket the night before, put the brisket and abt's in a ziplock container(s) and off to work I went. I now have orders for 3 more...

Turn your back??? TURN YOUR BACK??? I'd get a frying pan to the skull if tried that. Of course, I'm pretty lucky. I have the missus trained in what to look for in brisket, pork shoulders, and steaks. I rarely have to (get to?) go to the grocery store and our freezer is pretty full most of...
Both of mine (one with two sets of probes) worked great outta the box. However, I don't know if I'd use the probes on ribs as IMO, there's not enough meat between the bones to get accurate readings. Now the smoker temp, on the other hand .... :)

I have a very special place in my heart for Dec 7. I've always been a WWII history buff, but in 1990, on Dec. 7th, I graduated boot camp at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Since then, I've always joked that Dec 7th was a great day for the Navy :)
We've had a couple of light dusting's so far. I smoked a brisket on Tuesday for a pot luck at the office and it was windy as heck, but the temps were in the upper 50's to mid 60's. I'm ready for this I guess, new tires, new brakes and got the windshield washer's fixed. If not, I got a ham rig...
Some of those HP servers are beasts!! if this is just a typical n-tier, with a LB > web servers > app server > db server with the web servers serving the static images and such, I would expect the db or the app server to take the majority of the load. Depending upon how the scripts were...
Load and performance test engineer. Fancy title for a web site tester. I basically make sure the web sites handle the amount of traffic they're designed for. There's not a site I can't bring to its knees... I'm currently with a phone company (for the past 5 yrs last month), but am...
Um, Farve wasn't exactly winning the game here folks. Thowing deep constantly (bad decisions), couple of sacks and lots of hurries. I think the best thing that could have happened for the pack did. They got a good look at the future of that team, and it's a pretty bright future.
Edit: Don't...
