We decided to give some smoked Aged Cracker Barrel Cheddar. I used a blend of hickory,cherry and apple. This will be the first time giving some as gifts. We are going to give some crackers with it. Does any one have cracker suggestions besides Ritz?
I planned on doing some this weekend but ended up working most of it. This is good information. I have smoked some in the past. We would eat it the next day. Are there tutorials on here with tips on smoking cheese?
I am speechless on the price of that roast. I didn't know meat could even come close to that price. I see the marbling is top notch. I am sure it tastes good but not that good.
I just read on Facebook someone smoked some cheese. He stated he was going to let it rest for 30 days. What would the purpose of the rest for smoked cheese. Thought I would ask the experts.
I assume the flat you purchased was already trimmed. I only buy whole packers. I trim them myself. I am picky how I trim mine. You could learn how to trim a whole packer to save a bunch of money.
While in Walmart today I found brisket prices have really dropped here. The last two I bought were $3.49 in June. What is everyone else seeing? These are whole packers of course.
I forgot the money shots. The crunch is parm. cheese for the pizza and fried onions for BBQ. My family loved them. Has anyone else rolled there fatty in a crunchy coating?
