What did Santa get you for Christmas?

I have one made by Klein Tools. Has an etched bottle cap at the top of the handle for easy identification. They call it a beverage tool.

    Other Hobbies

I have been an avid diver since age 11. I chose it as a career both commercially and recreationaly. Spearfishing became a good part of my diving, both free diving and scuba. I have also been into reptiles just as long, although I got out of them for a long period. In the last decade I kept and...

    New Zealand Green Lip Mussels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will probably go by Grimm's in Everglades City and pick up several pounds of stone crab claws. These things are addictive, especially with mustard sauce. We will pop the cork on a bottle of Pierre Jouet (hand painted flower bottle) or I might pick up a bottle of Krug. That will be a great starter.

    Cajun Country Boil

Ah, just found a shot of another boil. This time the crabs are deep water, golden crabs which were done separately and steamed Maryland style. We also had some steamed clams.

    New Zealand Green Lip Mussels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I watched a 40# cobia beat an idiot, err someone senseless once in the Dry Tortugas. Guy let the fish wrap him up in the shock line so his arms were stuck at his sides and the fishes tail was level with his head, just slapping him silly. He was ok after being picked up by the chase boat. That is...

    Question about fresh horseradish

It is one of the main ingredients in worcestershire sauce. Once you try homemade, the bottled stuff just won't cut it. It can be canned and kept in the pantry.

    Cajun Country Boil

The last two sacks I got were supposed to be wild harvested. There wasn't much "extra" in with them as there was with the known pond raised I got once. That sack had snails and grass mixed in. The color reminded me of Gulf brown shrimp.

    New Zealand Green Lip Mussels!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We love mussels. I have had green lips once when I was in Devonport, NZ. I have this thing about mussels, clams and oysters, that if they aren't live before preparation, I won't eat them. Craig

    Cajun Country Boil

A couple times a year, when crawfish are in season, I order a 40# sack from my supplier in LA. We do a traditional boil. Drink Abita beer, pick crab and crawfish. The boil water is seasoned with my suppliers secret spice mix, liquid boil concentrate, bags of Zatarain's crab boil spice, lemon...
