    IDevice IGrill2 Thermometer

Glad I could be of help Carlo!  It is always a good deal when you can save more money for the meat! hehe.  As for the ambient probe, it honestly took me a while to figure out the difference in the probes... Until I finally noticed the ambient has a flat end versus the meat one having a point...

    IDevice IGrill2 Thermometer

Noticed iGrill happened to post this on their Facebook page today.  iGrill2 limited edition sale, includes iGrill2 plus 4 temp probes, for $139 plus free shipping in the US.  Have to say if I didn't already have one I'd be chomping at the bit for this.. Oh wait, I already am..

iGrill 2 is in Da House!

These batteries aren't very old though. The devices connected app said there was 70% life left when I started it up this morning.

iGrill 2 is in Da House!

Well just a little update on mine.  I'm currently smoking a pork butt and this morning I ran into a small dilemma with my igrill2.  I stepped inside the house and was just out of range on the other end of it, and my probe disconnected from my phone.. Now normally, it reconnects when I step back...

    Smoke Color Chart

I agree, Todd's AMNPS is awesome! Even though I never finished drilling out  my analog MES to make it perfect, I can still get amazing smoke with short-medium cooks.  I actually read over and saved your cheese smoking guide multiple times before I considered trying the cheese!  You answered...

    Smoke Color Chart

That chart is awesome, thanks for posting that Mr T!  I do have a question with references to smoke color as well as smell, just reading on here I just assumed blue was all you ever wanted to ideally smoke with.. Now, I know that stick burners will get white smoke but my offset puts off blue...

    New Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Smoker

Part time I experienced the same problem with mine, just received it over Christmas time.  Mine was not so extreme though, it just occurred on the very top inside the smoker, and I did not notice it until I packed up the smoker to take back to school with me.  My problem is I am not sure I...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

Well I'm back at school finally, and luckily for me we have a fireplace/stove/grill store at the edge of town, and they had some flat gasket stuff for me!  Took advantage of some of this amazing 60 degree weather in Kansas to clean and seal up the firebox.  I didn't feel like buying the glue, so...

What did your high school guidence councilor say you should do?

First off, I applaud you Red and the work you and your fellow officers do to maintain peace and order everyday.  Luckily my home is a nice distance away from St. Louis, but the crud that's been going on down there and everywhere else lately has had me severely questioning the sense of...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

Thanks WaterinHoleBrew!! I ran a couple tests on her because I was impatient.. Soon as I get it sealed back up she'll be ready for some real cooking!!  I love the igrill2! So awesome to see the cooks on your phone, watch the charted data, and share it with the community!  There's just a few...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

Alright, Thanks a bunch for the info!  I will wait and get 1000 degree material before I put my firebox back together.  I may try laying foil on the bottom and poking out the drain hole in the cooker side.  I've used a shallow alum pan on the firebox side.. but those things don't take but a...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

Sorry I should've been more specific.  The silicone will be for the cracks of the firebox - seal the halves then screw together.  The cracks between the firebox pieces are the big problem.  While smoke comes out the doors I'm not sure that's a major problem.. Smoke comes out my MES door but...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

The doors I'll use the stuff TrickyPutt posted with the gasket deals from bbqgaskets IF I don't find something cheaper.  I don't think 1/8" will be small enough for rope.. That can always be added at a later date - Don't have to take anything apart and doors are easy to get to.  Firebox is the...

OK Joe Highland Horizontal versus Brinkmann Trailmaster Vertical Offset Smokers

What are you referring to David? The small tube that is in Trickyputt's pic is what I just bought, high temp of 600 degrees F.  That i'll use all around the firebox and that little piece that joins the firebox/smoker.  There is a gaping hole where that piece joins the smoker on the outside that...

    Top sirloin

Smoked potato is like the best potato you'll ever eat!! If you are cooking it with steak, I'd recommend nuking it in the microwave for a bit first, get it soft.  A big potato in the smoker can take a few hours to get good and soft, so that will speed it up.  I haven't cooked them short on a...
