I need a meat injector with a large size injection hole for pepper

The Cabela's injector (I believe) is made by SpitJack. Here's the link: http://spitjack.com/product/MAGNUM.html Click on the image of the Magnum inside the zippered case or click on the "Accessories" tab and you'll see the different needles that you can put on the end of the injector. The...

    Bad turn out!

When I've done jerky out of sliced beef, my experience is that 1/8" was always too thin and 1/4" was always too thick. A 3/16" slice was always the perfect width of cut, in my opinion. By the way, if you haven't tried forming your own jerky with ground beef, give it a shot. No guessing, shorter...

Spicy Jerky Snack Sticks (with Q-View)

joe, you're right! I'm out already. I still have a couple of packs of Nesco's regular jerky to use up out of that combo package I originally ordered, but I went online last night and ordered up some Hi-Mountain, so that I could try them out, as well. So many people are recommending it, that I...

Spicy Jerky Snack Sticks (with Q-View)

Beater, thank you!   Dan, thank you!   Husker, thank you! The trick is to leave the alcohol consumption until after the sticks are laid out. If you do it the other way around, your sticks will end up like the roads in the Smoky Mountains. Trust me!   sam, it sounds like you're speaking words...

Rippin, I was up in Deerfield with my family this past Saturday at the Renaissance Festival in Quiet Waters Park. While I was there, I swear I caught a whiff of your brisket! Great job and I'm certain that you parents appreciated your efforts!

Caja China style boxes and smoking, check it out!

Great looking box! I'd like to hear the opinions of those that use them, once it's released. If the reviews are positive, I will certainly pick one up. Our homemade box works great, but it won't last forever.

Spicy Jerky Snack Sticks (with Q-View)

After receiving the jerky gun that I had ordered last week, I figured I'd dive right in an make some jerky. It was either this or re-caulk the bathtub with this thing, so I chose the former... I went over to Sam's Club and bought a 4.5 pound tray of 93/7 lean ground beef. From what I've read...
