    Inkbird IBBQ-4T

I got my IBBQ-4T and so far I am loving it. It seems to be very well made, withe nice probes and they are color coded, so you easily know which readout on the screen shows which probe. The app is also nice, it allows charting your cook without a lot of extra junk thrown in. I already had the...

Companion to the Big Joe Kamado?

I have an Kamado Joe Big Joe, Traeger Timberline 1300, Chargriller Akorn Jr, and a Camp Chef Flattop 600 Griddle. For me this is the perfect combination of grills for anything I could want to cook. I do most of my cooking on the Big Joe and the Akorn Jr. if it's a small cook. Some times I'll use...

    Which Pellet Smoker?

You need to let us know what your price range is before anyone can really offer recommendations. There are a lot of good grills out there, it all depends on how much you are willing to pay. Just remember that all pellet grills are basically the same, there is a motor to turn the auger and...

    Which Pellet Smoker?

When you say all around what do you mean? Do you want to high temp grill, as well as low temp smoking , or are you just talking about smoking? A pellet grill is good for smoking and lower temp cooking, such as poultry and such below 400°. You need to remember that a pellet grill is basically...

    New purchase advice

I looked at all three when I was making my choice. The P&S ended being my first choice, I wasn't sure how I would like the front hopper on the Smokin Bros and like you, I couldn't find that much on the Mak. I really like the features on the P&S, especially the way the front hinges. I ended...

    Traeger

Try unwrapped at 225° for about 5- 6 hrs, until they pass the bend test. I think you will be happy with the results.

    New purchase advice

He said he wanted American made. OP I would make my selection between the P&S and the Mak. Both are american made and you really can't go wrong with either one. I have a Timberline 1300 and the WiFi is a really nice feature but it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me and I think several of the...

    Brisket Time & Temp

Do you have the Big Joe III model? The sloroller only works in that model, it's too tall for the I and II.

    New Pellet Smoker from CT

Try some Lumber Jack brand pellets. I have found them to have superior flavor, compared to most others.

    Wood Pellet storage

You can get some food grade 5 gallon buckets from Lowes with a seal top. That is what I use for my mixes and partial bags. I just store the full bags in my garage on a wood pallet off the floor. I can't help with any tips on your 34, I have the Timberline 1300 and it's a great grill.

    Brisket Time & Temp

As stated your grill temps are what you are actually cooking at. The dome temp gauge I never even use because of the position of the gauge and the fact that they are very unreliable for accuracy. If you want to cut down on the temp your diffuser plate reaches, try wrapping it in foil, or install...

    Trager timberline 850

Are you planning Baby Back or regular ribs? I don't really think you can do both at the same time and have the best results. Ribs are best low and slow and chicken is better at higher temps. I agree about the beer can being a waste of time, also a pellet grill does poultry so well you will be...

Ribs on Pit Boss, always end up crumbly

I prefer Babyback ribs, so that is about all I do anymore. I have found that, on my Timberline 1300, 4-1-1 works perfectly for ribs with just a little tug but an clean bone when bitten. I will do them this way, or just straight without wrapping, until they pass the bend test.

Need help deciding...$3k budget for a pellet grill.

With your wanted features I would go for the Mak 2*. P&S makes a full SS 850 model but I don't think it's in your price range. The only way you will get adequate direct flame grilling is with the Mak, P&S, or Yoder. You have to have a system to open the firepot through the drip pan to get good...

    Bad Seal on Draft Door

Go to the web site and start a warranty claim. I think, with the Covid-19, that they are running minimal staff and just doing claims through online support.

    Disappointing Boston Butt

You are not going to get a lot of smoke flavor from a pellet grill. You will get a cleaner smoke flavor, that some people prefer. You can add a smoke generator to your grill and get a little more flavoring though. Never been a fan of Bone Sucking products. Try some Oakridge BBQ Competition Pork...

    A little respect!

What is never mentioned in all the media coverage of police excessive use of force is the fact that if the suspect had just done what the officer required, nothing would have happened. All the bad situations you see portrayed all resulted from non compliance with the officers request.
