It did it again… smoker failed mid session. Throw in oven or throw in trash? (Internal 110°)
7 hours and only 110º, nope from my perspective. I've read so many issues regarding Traeger. IMO be done with it and get a smoker with a good reputation. I'd suggest looking at Rec Teq. Many use them here and I've yet to read a negative report on them. Now regardless of the smoker used...- schlotz

Yeah, I'm a complete mess trying to back up her horse trailer. She just laughs and says get out of the truck and let me do it or we'll be here all day 😂. She does on the first try! Definitely a show off.... 😆- schlotz

Wow, Ray! Perfect Ribeye. Definitely with Rich on the Alfredo! Question: so the S&P then vac and freeze doesn't create a problem if frozen for a long period, correct? Do you let the salt do it's thing before vac or just apply and vac?- schlotz

Well, after all of these years, I finally did it.
Nice selection Dan! Definitely a good choice. 👍 Wife got a similar one but the 1500 version when her 2010 Avalanche was semi wiped out in a snow storm. She hauls two horses and more than fine for that. Still 6.0L. Damn thing is huge compared to the Avalanche. We also take it to see her 100 yr...- schlotz

Yeah internal ice makers can become an issue. when we built our retirement home back in '21 I had an under the counter ice machine installed for the wife feed by the RO system. Loads of clear small ice cubes always available and the fridge is relegated to just supplying water at the door...- schlotz

As you can see there are a number of options and frankly they all have their positive points. The 'authentic' aspect is more of a feel good perspective vs practicality. What you have described suggests that a pellet smoker might be the best fit. But wait.... even in this line there is a vast...- schlotz

Just ordered a new Lone Star Grillz Pellet Smoker
I used the other two mentioned and both left a lot of ash. Lumberjack leaves the least in my MAK so I've been using these for quite sometime now. Most smokes are with the Hickory. Well that sucks Steve. Glad you moved away from Samsung. While their TV's are pretty good it's another story when it comes to their kitchen appliances. Daughter's fridge bit the dust after just a couple of years. Needless to say the replacement was not Samsung.- schlotz
